The government has assured livestock keepers in the country that, it is keen to establish farms that will grow seeds to be planted as animal feeds in various parts in the country, the deputy minister for livestock Hon. Abdallah Ulega has said. The deputy minister was responding a question in Parliament today which was raised by a special seat legislator Mary Muro (CCM) who wanted to know what special attention the government gives to livestock keepers in some parts in the country in terms of pastures. Responding to the question, the minister noted that the government has put in place a strategy to ensure that, it gets enough animal feeds for livestock keepers and these will be distributed on sale to stakeholders just like how seeds are sold to farmers.
