After more than eight days of political turmoil in the state, Edappadi K Palaniswami, along with 30 ministers, was sworn-in on Thursday Feb 16,2017

But it's not over yet. 

The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister will have to face a trust vote in the Assembly on Saturday.

This is the first time in 30 years that a Chief Minister will to prove majority on the floor of the House.
The last time it happened was when the party split after MG Ramachandran's death.



So, this time, the Sasikala camp is confident that they will sail through the test and that they have over 124 MLAs on their side.

O Pannnerselvam Group has 11 MLA's including him

R Nataraj, an MLA from Mylapore constituency, was the first to declare that he would vote against the confidence vote

 "All along, I have been maintaining that there should not be any division in the party. This situation could have been avoided if we had discussed it properly. Now, it comes to a point where I have to take a decision. I will vote against the confidence motion. I have discussed with the people of my constituency and they are all against it. I will have to support O Panneerselvam. I am reflecting the will of the people. The Assembly is meant for reflecting the will of the people."

 Opposition Party DMK with 89 MLA's  has decided to vote against  Edapadi Palaniswami
